All go at Clearwater Fisheries

Over the last 18 months since Alex Mollart took over the old Borwick Lakes complex in deepest, darkest Lancashire it has come on leaps and bounds.

The fishery has now been re-named and is known as Clearwater Fisheries; very apt considering its incredible water quality.

It was always understood that the full potential of the site was never met. It had nine lakes on site, all of which catered for different aspects of angling from pleasure to specimen carp angling. When Alex took over, he simplified the fishing, and created a much more prolific fishery because of it.

Jimmy’s Lake, the largest on the complex, is the jewel in the crown. It contains no less than ten thirties and three forties topped by a fish known as Moonscale at over 46lb. Kellett Lake has been stocked with fish up to low thirties and Dewhirst Lake contains fish well into the twenties.
