The UK Carp Championships visited Kent and Dorset for the latest round of qualifiers and, as usual, loads of carp were caught.
Pairs qualifier – Orchard Place Farm Lake 7: The Izzards, Ashley and William, recorded a memorable victory, beating England internationals Billy Flowers and Jamie Londors. Ashley and William landed 15 fish for a final weight of 264¾lb, while Billy and Jamie had eight fish for 156lb 3oz. Ian Beedell and Paul Poynter took third place on 126lb 10oz, while the final qualification spot went to Del Sturrock and Rob White on 114lb 15oz.
Pairs qualifier – Todber Manor Big Hayes: Gary Atwill and Rob Morgan took top spot thanks to a 35-fish catch for 552lb 6oz, narrowly finishing ahead of 2015 champions Rob Burgess and Marc Cavaciuti, who chalked up 33 fish for 528lb 11oz. Luke Church and Jason Adams on 420lb 15oz, and Nicky Webb and Matt Earl on 337lb 10oz also qualified for the semi-finals.
