From the 6th October the popular day ticket lake Thorpe Lea Fishery has introduced a new rule that all particles are now banned, with only boilies and carp pellets allowed.
pThis comes after the lake was closed a couple of months ago due to a serious algae outbreak which has been put down to excessive use of particles on the fishery. In the statement released on Facebook, Gary Beale, part of the bailiff team at Thorpe Lea said: “This decision will lead to better water quality and bigger, healthier carp in the future”.
