We received these pictures of Robert Fretton from Brentwood last week and were so impressed and inspired by them that we felt compelled to share them with you all.
Robert fishes one-handed due to a motorcycle accident 30 years ago, which is why he is sitting down in the pictures. Despite his disability, Robert has still been able to pursue his hobby and landed this 26lb 1oz mirror and 27lb common during a recent session at Oak Lakes Fishery, a syndicate water in Essex. Robert used multi-rigs with Sticky Manilla pop-ups, which he fished over a bed of hemp and maize.
Robert told Carp-Talk: “I hope these pictures inspire other people with disabilities to give the sport a go.”
