Saturday 24th June will see the staging of the first Biv Monkies Lads v Lasses carp match at Drayton Reservoir in Northamptonshire, as part of Women’s Sport Week.
The match will take place at the prolific day-ticket venue between 10am and 7pm and there are still a handful of places remaining for anybody wishing to get involved. Couples will fish alongside each other on the same peg and there will be prizes for the female who catches the biggest fish, although the focus of the day will be getting as many females on the bank as possible.
The event is free to enter thanks to a donation of 10 pegs on the dam wall by the Canal and River Trust, which runs the venue. Anybody interested in taking part should an email to bivmonkies@gmail.com.
