Marcus Clark from Desborough, Northamptonshire, caught this 49lb 14oz common known as Kitch during a 48-hour session on Northey Park, Cambridgeshire.
Marcus, 29, used Spiced Krill boilies and also banked a 22½lb common. He presented hookbaits blow-back style on size 6 Centurion 2000 hooks with Mouthsnagger Aligners, 30lb N-Trap Soft hooklinks and 2oz Korda flat pear leads. These were fished with 30 free offerings in a “carp hole” at 20 yards range where Marcus prebaited lightly for three weeks before fishing. He brought his prize to the net using Torrix TE rods, Shimano Ultegra Ci4 reels and Gardner GT80+ line.
