We learnt this week of the unfortunate passing of one of angling’s most famous innovators, John Roberts.
There can’t be many anglers out there that haven’t used a John Roberts Butt Grip; they have been around the scene for decades!
John also made many other plastic-based products, such as ledger stops, beads and feeder booms. He retired in 2011 and sold the company to Hopkins and Holloway. It’s safe to say that John was one of the most innovative creators of his time and he will be sadly missed.
