Kris Hillier and Grant Hambridge walked away with £1000 after winning the first Elite Carp Masters event of the year on Lake Pepper at Cottington Lakes, Kent.
The duo landed 15 fish over the course of 48 hours for a final weight of 349¼lb, which was more than twice the weight of Owen Sayles, who, fishing on his own, finished second on six fish for 171½lb, enough for £750. Third place went to James Ball and James Weller, who had four fish for 112lb 14oz, earning them £450, and fourth place went to Stuart Lemon and Gary Mardle on three fish for 56½lb, wining them 10 kilos of bait.
