It is 13 years ago this year since the infamous Lake Raduta in Romania suffered a severe fish kill. Almost the entire stock of original fish were lost in what was likely to have been a viral infection from stocking carp.
The lake has since recovered steadily and now boasts a fine stock of fish, but it’s nowhere close to being as special as it was when it was originally discovered.
