FishingTV has announced its popular head-to-head carp-match show, Carp Wars, will return to Sky Sports for a second series at the end of the year, with three new anglers joining the frame.
Last year’s runner-up Dave Lane, Ian Russell and Ian Chillcott all return to the line-up for another crack at the title, while Mark Bryant and Jerry Hammond will make way for two of the sport’s finest carp catchers, Dave Levy and Iain Macmillan. Harry Pratt, who won the first series after being selected for the show amongst of string of hopefuls, will be replaced by another young pretender.
To decide who replaces Harry and earns the final place on the show, Sky Sports will screen ‘The Eliminator’ at 8pm on Wednesday 2nd August, an hour-long special in which Mitchell Marsh, Luke Gilvrey, Cafer Gunay and Steven Coe will tussle in a 24-hour match.
The first episode of the new series is scheduled to air at 7.30pm on Sky Sports 3 on Thursday 30th November.
