Owned and operated by the Thamesmead Town Angling Club, Gallions Lake is about three-to-five feet deep.
At one point, things weren’t looking to good for Gallions Lake and assessments had provided poor reports. But times have changed and the Club has made improvements, including a restocking initiative that has brought plenty of quality catches to the water.
The Club states that a good selection of carp, bream, and roach can be found in the lake. Features include gravel beds, with the rest constructed of silt.
The canal is members only the Club, but the lake is open for day fishing and the water is suitable for disabled visitors. Night fishing is also for members only.
