Doggetts is a fifteen acre day ticket water with two entrances and a short walk from both.
Anglers fishing overnight are advised to use a trolley as the walk around the lake is considerable.If time allows it is strongly recommended to visit the lake in advance to familiarise yourself with the layout.
Car parks are via The Drive parking behind the school at SS41QF or Park in Doggetts Close and walk down the concrete footpath through Doggetts farm a distance of some four hundred yards.code SS41ED.
The lake is unique,the long arm and the short separate the back pool from the main lake.Extensive reed bed separate swims which in the summer months allows each angler total seclusion.Summer fishing has provided many anglers with hundred pound bags of tench which go to nine pounds.The largest bag of bream landed in one day fell to Bob Brogden from Kent weighing in at four hundred pounds.
True Crucian and good size perch can be found in the margins whilst the biggest pike landed weighed in at 29lb.Mirror common and fully scaled carp have all been landed in the thirty pound bracket with the lake record still standing at thirty four and a half pounds landed by local angler Gary Vandagen.
